Peter Pex: Masters degree in Economics at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Occupied senior management positions in banking and the trade sector. Extensive experience as member of Supervisory and Advisory Board of various medium sized companies, trade organizations, n.g.o.’s and charity foundations. He was a member of the Rotterdam City Council from 1970- 1984.

From 1994- 1999 Peter Pex was a member of the European Parliament, during which period he served in various functions amongst which as Vice Chairman of the Committee on External Trade relations and as Chairman of the Committee on Culture, Education, Youth and the Media.

Peter Pex resumed his business activities as consultant in August 1999.

From June 2003- July 20 2004  Peter Pex was a Member of the European Parliament again. He is member of the Committee on Regional Policy, Transport and Tourism, Deputy member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and Member of the Delegation with the US.

Since July 2004 he resumed his business activities as Partner of Solveigh Corporate Development ( Mergers & Acquisitions). From May 2005 he is Professor Business development of the Rotterdam University, a University for Applied Studies. As off September 2006 he is Policy Advisor in the Brussel office of the Association of Dutch Water Companies (Vewin) and the Dutch Waterboards (Unie van Waterschappen)
